Bericht Re: Kunst
Dank voor de tip :!:

deze tekst bedoel je denk ik:

Citaat:
The Porsche “Drive Safe” art installation on display at the Louvre. Created with Midjourney and Photoshop’s generative AI fill.

I've updated the description to address a couple of things. My AI-related posts are always identified as such. Shock value in this case, yes, playing with the boundaries of what's real and what's not, yes, but never intentionally misleading anyone. I can however understand if people get irritated and feel the need to reply before making it to the second sentence. But media literacy is equally important, and I won't engage in bad-faith comments any longer.

I don't feel advocating for safety through shock value is a bad thing and I do believe all “Drive Safe” campaigns do important work reminding us of our human limitations. Neither do I believe that it goes against the brand’s integrity, but rather shows strength and confidence in their own products to display something that can and will happen to their customers. With or without their direct involvement. But some users felt quite the opposite. So, in that sense, it did become somewhat of a digital art installation already if you will, evoking different emotions in different viewers.

The reason which caused this post was a recent news article about a horrific accident involving a Porsche 991 GT3. I was fortunate enough to operate a couple of 992s and their brilliant handling in all situations and the almost more impressive braking made me feel pretty much invincible. Maybe a little too invincible.

The key message would be to always remember your own limitations and pay close attention to your actions and surroundings. Work with and not against everyone, despite how idiotic people can be. But also realize when you're the idiot yourself. Yes, I too lose my patience more often than I probably want to admit, with this post equally functioning as a reminder to myself that maybe it’s better to be late than to never arrive at all.

If this post leads to just one single person approaching their next drive more carefully, it was worth it. I hope everyone gets home safely and is fortunate enough to spend the day with someone they love. And if you don’t, give them a call.
